Michael Wallander, Chairperson

Michael Wallander, J.D., LL.M., is Founder and President of both Sustainable Law Counsel, P.A., the first law firm focused on representing clients in the sustainability space, and The Kapok Group, a management consulting firm that incubates sustainable companies and projects. Previously, Mike was a corporate and securities attorney with one of the largest law firms in the world, where he provided strategic sustainability advice to clients across sectors.

Mike is a frequent speaker and teacher on renewable energy and solutions to climate change. He was invited by Al Gore and The Climate Group to present the Nobel-Prize winning message on the urgent need to address global climate change and currently volunteers as District Manager responsible for facilitating the organization’s mission in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Mike is also a Founder of South Florida Green Drinks, the leading green networking organization working to position South Florida as a sustainable mega-region.

Mike holds an LL.M. degree in Securities and Financial Regulation, with distinction, from Georgetown University. Prior to that, Mike obtained his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh and his B.A. from the University of Florida.

When he is not spending time with his wife, Amy, and sons, Jack, Leo, William, and Ian, Mike is actively involved in the local Palm Beach County and broader sustainability communities.

Jonathan Wemette

Norton Museum of Art

Jonathan Wemette is currently the Development Officer for Institutional Giving at the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach. He was previously Managing Director of the Yale Cabaret, Artistic Associate at Florida Stage, a Management Fellow at Seattle Repertory Theatre, and a Literary Intern at the Guthrie Theater. He also serves on the board of the Masterworks Chorus of the Palm Beaches. He holds an MFA in Theater Management from the Yale School of Drama and a BA from Amherst College, where he studied playwriting.

 

 

Danielle Bolla

The Fusion Group

Danielle is Vice President and Consultant with The Fusion Group, working with a diverse international client base at Fusion’s Florida headquarters and at client locations worldwide. She has a background in training and organizational development including facilitating in-house corporate educational programs and designing curricula for major corporate events. As an instructor, she has taught courses in Communication and Public Speaking at the collegiate and professional levels.

In 2010, she became certified in Neuro-linguistic programming, Hypnosis, and Time Techniques. In 2014, she was certified as an Infinite Possibilities trainer. She holds an MA in Communication and Cultural Anthropology and a BFA in Theatre from Florida Atlantic University.

When not teaching or studying, Danielle may be found attending the theatre, snorkeling in the Keys, or playing racquetball. Originally from Birmingham, a suburb of Detroit, she lives in West Palm Beach, Florida, with her reunited first love, Bob, and their three furry rescues: a dog named Duke and two cats, Molly and Nathan Detroit.
